HORROR 2020 – Another installment
in my annual list of highly anticipated horror flicks, to give you chills and
thrills, in the first year of the new 20s. John Krasinski, Jordan Peele, James Wan and
Guillermo del Toro all make repeat appearances on my list. Sadly, it seems
there are far too many remakes, and a dismal lack of original horror concepts.
It remains to be seen if this will be a great decade for horror.
The Grudge
Release date: January 3, 2020

The Turning
Release date: January 24, 2020
A governess becomes responsible for a brother and sister,
after the deaths of their parents.
The Invisible Man
Release date: February 28, 2020
A woman rebuilds her life after her ex-boyfriend commits
suicide, before discovering he might not be dead.
A Quiet Place Part II
Release date: March 20, 2020
The next edition of an emotional family horror-drama A
Quiet Place.
Antlers
Release date: April 17, 2020
An elementary school teacher and local sheriff, discover
that one of her students has a dark, twisted secret.
The Organ Donor (Saw)
Release date: May 15, 2020
The next installment in the iconic Saw horror film
franchise.
Candyman
Release date: June 12, 2020
A spiritual sequel to the original, which returns to the
now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began.
The Purge 5
Release date: July 10th, 2020
Only time will tell, if this is the rumored ending to The
Purge horror movie franchise.
The Conjuring 3
Release date: September 11th, 2020
The next installment in a series of spin-offs in the
Conjuring/ Annabelle/ La Llarona series.
Halloween Kills
Release date: October 16, 2020
Michael Meyers returns yet again with more Halloween kills.
Army of the Dead
Release date: December 31, 2020
Mercenaries enter the quarantine zone to pull off a great heist.
